London United Ladies FC, formerly known as BBC Ladies, was formed in 2006. LULFC plays in the Greater London Women’s Football League, Division Three South. The club is independently run and managed by its members, currently based in Clapham, South London. The squad contains around 30 players, including ladies from New Zealand, the USA, Portugal, Australia, Hungary and the Czech Republic. LULFC runs two full 11-a-side team and a 5-a-side team, all of which take part in leagues and cup tournaments. The LULFC 5-a-side team won their division in summer 2008 and made the semi-finals of Top Corner 2008 Champions Trophy. Although very competitive in nature, LULFC prides itself on team spirit, resilience, friendliness and sense of unity.
